Welcome to our blog!

The Siuslaw Pioneer Museum exhibits include historical items of the Siuslaw Valley and its surrounding areas. Many of the artifacts were made or used in the every day life of our pioneers.   We look forward to your visit!

Help Save Our Wall:

A campaign to save our West Wall is underway. We appreciate your help in the effort to preserve history and our 1905 building! Read more HERE.

Banner-Bank-West-Wall-Donation

Work is underway to restore the Museum’s west wall. The west side of our 120 year-old building is in need of repair due to the effects of wood rot. Thanks to public financial support of the project, work began last week! A special thanks to the recent $7500 generous donation from Banner Bank. $5,000 is earmarked for the wall repair, and an additional $2,500 will provide museum admission fees for underserved children. Your financial contribution by selecting the Donate or Go Fund Me button above is appreciated!

Online Indexes:

Search online indexes of Family Names and Subject Files as a source for your research or view the indexes and files at our on-site William Kyle Research Library. The library is located behind the Museum and open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 to 3 p.m. Call the library at (541) 997-7884 for more information.
